I don’t think I can eat pizza for a while after watching this commercial.

I love it when artists do things like this. This is Naturally 7 performing a song on the Paris Metro.
I found it rather funny and slightly ironic that UPS is running a commercial with a Postal Service song in the background.
I got up not all that early and remembered an e-mail from my boy Ted about some Wii’s coming into Toys R’ Us today. So I bundled up and headed out. I got there and there were a few people in line and about 4 people coming in behind me. I get the the register and sure enough they have 3 left. I quickly payed for mine and felt a little sorry for the fourth guy behind me. Never the less I now have the Wii and it is very cool. I will be exploring it a little later as I have also purchased the Legend of Zelda for hours of time wasting.
Recently the Defense of Marriage Alliance got Initiative 957 passed the Secretary of State in Washington State. Aside from another ridiculous attempt to ban Gay marriage this initiative takes it a step further. So all you DINKs out there beware they are coming for us next. The initiative not only defines marriage as between a man and a woman but requires for papers to be filed to prove procreation within three years of marriage or the marriage is annulled.
If this initiative were to somehow find its way to the floor for a vote and somehow pass, my marriage would be annulled. There are so many rights attached to marriage that denying it to two people is just ridiculous. If so much effort is being made to make it a matter of law then it should be just that a matter of law not religion as, unless I’m mistaken, this country is not a Theocracy. Or is it? We can leave that debate for a different time.
Here is an interesting tidbit.
CHAPTER 272. CRIMES AGAINST CHASTITY, MORALITY, DECENCY AND GOOD ORDER
Chapter 272: Section 36. Blasphemy
Section 36. Whoever wilfully blasphemes the holy name of God by denying, cursing or contumeliously reproaching God, his creation, government or final judging of the world, or by cursing or contumeliously reproaching Jesus Christ or the Holy Ghost, or by cursing or contumeliously reproaching or exposing to contempt and ridicule, the holy word of God contained in the holy scriptures shall be punished by imprisonment in jail for not more than one year or by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars, and may also be bound to good behavior.
So If you’re an atheist in Boston, you can go to jail for a year and face a 300 dollar fine. I can’t even begin to think how unconstitutional this law is. Moreover how ridiculous it is. It’s one of those laws passed a long time ago that was never expunged from the books but is not pursued when broken. Nevertheless an over zealous judge could theoretically put someone away for this.
