I can talk about this movie for about as long as it runs, which is close to three hours but I won’t. I will make a simple recommendation that you watch it and truly give it a chance. It is a Lars Von Trier film and it’s a rather daring one at that. The minimalistic set design is absolutely gorgeous. Nicole Kidman is in the film but don’t let that shy you away from it, she does an amazing job. Dogville is part of a trilogy and I’m eager to see the second film Manderlay, the third film however may never be made as the director is a little finicky to say the least.
So the first show is an art show. I’m currently showing at TASI in Royal Oak. It’s a new hip juice bar and my work is currently adorning the walls. So if in the area drop in and have some strawberry banana while enjoying the work.
In the coming year, which is around the corner, I’ll be showing at a concert event in Pontiac. Mikel O.D. of Most People are DJs is throwing a showcase at the Pike Room in Pontiac and I’ve been asked to show in sort of a lounge area along with another artist. So look forward to that. Besides my pretty pictures on the walls there are going to be some great bands and giveaways.
