The Discount Hipster
I was recently invited to the Gilt website, which is a glorious discount hipster/style haven. Catering to both Men and Women, however the Woman’s section is much larger. Nonetheless the selections are amazing and while the prices aren’t bargain store they are drastically reduced. There is a strange mechanic to the site however. Because there are limited quantities of each item should you put something in your cart you end up reserving it. So you have a little time to checkout before it goes back on the rack. It’s kind of like carrying something around the store just to make sure no one else gets their hands on it. So you may end up adding something that isn’t available but the site will let you know if someone decides not to purchase it and one suddenly becomes available. I’m on the wait list for a scarf since fall is around the corner.
You must be a member to shop there but I have a few invites available. Just click the link below and enjoy!

I’ve always found it strange how one develops a liking for something specific. The feel of towels right out of the dryer, or paper after some wax has melted on it. Even the smell of crayons. All of which have strange little stories attached to how my affinity grew for them but I have to attribute my thing for girls with short hair to Watts from Some Kind of Wonderful.
